Our Stories Cut Deep

We deliver cinematic work on indie budgets. Our debut feature String was shot for less than $44,000 and includes screen veteran Deep Roy (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Star Trek). Currently in post-production, String proves we can execute on feature-length scale — with recognizable talent — and still remain lean and creatively in control.

We launch bold work into the world. Our concept pilot BITE was shot for under $4,000, screened at festivals, placed in two and reached 11,000+ YouTube views in the first 35 days — no ad budget, just audience traction. We direct, edit, and post in-house.

We don’t make safe art, we make unforgettable work -- emotionally, visually, and thematically. Knock ’Em Dead Productions specializes in dark genre storytelling rooted in trauma, transformation, and the macabre. Our projects range from supernatural thrillers to dark comedies — always centering complex women, emotional rupture, and beautifully broken worlds. Our films explore what happens when people aren’t easily categorized. When the trauma doesn’t inspire redemption. When love is unexpected. When a woman is both the villain and the weapon. We create stories where no one is boxed in — not by gender, grief, or genre. Anyone can grow. Anyone can fall. The real villains are the ones who refuse to change, and devour the world around them in the process.

Roster - Dark Dramedy Short

Roster is a sharp, emotionally messy short that starts with a smirk and ends with a bruise.

James “Jay” is handsome, charming and emotionally unavailable. He’s got a rotation of romantic flings, not because he’s cruel, but because to him, it’s never that deep. But, when his string of flings gets in the way of him getting with his dream girl, he set out to repair the damage he’s done to the women on his roster — only to realize the person he hurt most was’t someone he slept with, but someone who trusted him.

What begins as light and detached slowly fractures into something deeper and messier — a genre-blending short that acts as a character study on modern masculinity, softness, and the blind spots we carry.

•    Narrative short (estimated runtime: 40 minutes)

    •    Shooting Fall 2025

    •    Tone: Tinder-era comedy meets emotional reckoning

    •    Themes: detachment, ego, modern masculinity, trust

    •    Women-led creative team

    •    Funding goal: $35,000–$50,000

    •    Seeking co-producers, funding, and festival support

'(Equity partners and EPs receive full production updates and behind-the-scenes access, but all creative decisions remain with the producing team unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.)
